Art Historian
Michael Ferro is a revered Art Historian in the Chicago area. He has made numerous contributions to small Chicago art museums and hosted various events within the art community. The Curator has even contributed pieces of his own personal art collection to be shown at exhibitions and showcases in the city. In his periodical, the avid Art Historian features Chicago Art & Cultural Events, as well as the latest happenings in the museums of the area. As an all-around art and culture enthusiast, Ferro believes that there is history to be admired in every city. The architecture alone is a work of art, explains the retired Architect. An expert in the design of buildings and homes in Chicago’s most historic districts, Ferro has studied the architecture of the city for decades. He looks forward to exhibiting a collection of photographs that he has taken of his favorite, most historic buildings in the area. Ferro also intends to translate these photographs into paintings, to offer a unique perspective. On a regular basis, the Art Historian hosts free public art events where he features a specific piece, collection or artist who has made their mark on the history of Chicago art.
